Since spyware and adware has become one of the biggest threats to computer users these days, infecting over 90% of all computers (according to AOL) it is very important to remove spyware, adware and malware from your system. Not only will it keep your sensitive data from being stolen, but it will also speed up your computer.

Many of the sites I visited were adult sites, gambling sites and others types of sites well known for containing spyware and adware. I clicked "yes" to download anything and everything that appeared on the screen. This resulted in many pieces of spyware and adware being loaded onto the computer. I also subscribed to every mailing list from these sites and opened all attachments from their mailings which resulted in even more spyware and adware being placed on the computer.
After one month of infecting my computer as much as possible. I bit level copied the entire contents of the computer's hard drive (including the boot sector) to a backup hard drive and then started testing each anti-spyware software below. After each test, I reloaded the entire contents of the backup hard drive to the computer so that each test would be ran on the same set of data. This made it possible to accurately compare each spyware removal program against each other and see how effective each was at removing spyware and adware.
Results:
All the software did a fairly decent job of detecting and removing the spyware, but I found that PC Health did the best job with AdwareBOT coming in a close second. See the side by side comparison chart below for detailed information on my findings.
